Home & Leisure Show won’t be continued

The Beausejour Lions have made the tough decision to discontinue their Home & Leisure Show. After 6 successful years, it was concluded that the show had unfortunately lost the majority of its appeal to the community in general and the exhibitors as a result. The opportunity to be a significant fundraiser for Lions community projects will certainly be missed. The Lions Club of Beausejour wishes to thank all those who participated in the shows over the years, either as an exhibitor or as a patron.

Beausejour

Directions from Winnipeg to Beausejour are as follows:

Take Hwy 59 North from the city of Winnipeg (towards Grand Beach). Turn East on Hwy 44 to Beausejour (towards the Whiteshell Lakes area). The trip will take approximately 40 minutes from the north-east edge of the city.

Alternately, you can take Hwy 15 East from Winnipeg, through Dugald to Anola. Then take Hwy 12 North to Hwy 215. Turn right on Hwy 215 East to Beausejour.

Sun Gro Centre

Sun Gro Centre is located on the South East corner of the Town of Beausejour. Hwy 44 leads around the North and East sides of town. It comes South to the intersection of Hwy 44 and Hwy 302 (South). Take Hwy 302 South, which continues along the east side of Beausejour, to James Avenue. Take James Avenue West ~1 block to Veterans Lane. You will see our illuminated sign at the corner of James Avenue and Veterans Lane.

Sun Gro Centre is located ~ 1 block South on Veterans Lane at the intersection of Veterans Lane and Community Lane.

This year’s Home & Leisure Show will be held Friday, Saturday and Sunday, April 11th, 12th and 13th. Hours for Friday are 4 to 9 pm; for Saturday are 10 am to 6 pm; and for Sunday are 12 noon to 4 pm.

The Beausejour Lions Club will again host the show right in the curling club ice hall at Sun Gro Centre at Beausejour, Manitoba. Sun Gro Centre is at the end of Veterens Lane off James Avenue in south east Beausejour. You can’t miss it!

Admission is just $2 for adults. Accompanied children under 12 years of age are free.

Home cooked meals and canteen services are available throughout the day right at the Sun Gro Centre.

Lots of opportunities for free draws and other fabulous prizes. Bring the family and enjoy a great time at the show!
