2008 HOME & LEISURE SHOW HAS BEEN CANCELLED

Regretably, the Beausejour Lions have had to cancel the 2008 Home & Leisure Show. For reasons not under the control of the Lions Club, vendor registrations were insufficient to ensure a viable show for everyone concerned. Lots of comments have been received from various sources saying that they hope the Club will still consider continuing with a Show in 2009. The Lions Club has not made any decision regarding future shows but will be looking at the question fairly soon.

The Beausejour Lions Club would like to thank everyone who has supported the Home & Leisure Show this year, and in all the past years as well. It has been very much appreciated. With the funds raised with your support and the efforts of the club’s members and friends, this project has enabled the Club to support and provide valuable assistance to the people in our communities.

The 2008 Exhibitor Entry Form remains availble for your information. It is in standard PDF format for downloading.

If you have a new computer with the VISTA O/S and Adobe Reader Version 7.0, it is unlikely you’ll be able to read standard PDF files. The solution is to obtain the latest release of Adobe Reader - Version 8.1.1 has been updated to work with the VISTA O/S. The new version of Adobe Reader is available at http://www.adobe.com/downloads/

If, after updating to Adobe Reader V 8.1.1, you are still having difficulty please let us know through the ‘contact us’ link above.

Computers running the XP O/S and using Adobe Reader Version 7.0 or 8.1.1 will continue to have no difficulty.

Each year in April the Beausejour Lions Club produces its Home & Leisure Show. The Show has served the Northeastman area of Manitoba for 6 years. For 2008 we are looking to expand our coverage in many ways. Viewers, exhibitors and content. The club members are actively working on new and exciting ideas to enhance the Show and make it even more productive for everyone.

We hope the accompanying pages have all the information you’re looking for about our Show. If they don’t, please let us know through the ‘contact us’ link above.

Our Show is geared to help the general public gather information and get the facts and some ideas about their home project or leisure activity. And most importantly, for them to make contacts and talk to the real, knowledgable people about the project they have in mind. Many exhibitors offer show specials. So it’s a good time to talk!

Who Are Our Exhibitors

The typical exhibitor has products or services for your home project or leisure activities. Projects can include everything from the ‘do-it-yourself’ variety to complete homes and cottages. The vendors have come from not only all over the Eastman Area but from Winnipeg, the Interlake, Southern and Western Manitoba and even Saskatchewan and North West Ontario.

Our Show began in 2002 and has had as many as 53 exhibitors crowded into the curling ice area of the Sun Gro Centre. Each year new and different vendors come to display their wares. And talents. Exhibitors and trades people have shared their expertise with thousands and many, many projects and dreams have come to fruition because of contacts made at our shows.
